Trainee teachers need to provide evidence to show they have met the new Commonwealth Professional Standards for Teachers. Our eportfolio facilitates this process by promoting reflection and enabling teachers to upload evidence against each of the provisional standards. Teachers can also showcase their eportfolio to their university tutor and school mentor for assessment and feedback.

Getting Started:
I've just signed up, what do I do now?

We would recommend all trainees to start using the reflective diary. it is the least structured and most efficient way of documenting what you are doing each day. As you progress, in your training year, you will know which reflections you will need to link to show you have addressed a Professional Standard.

For qualified teachers, we would recommend you update your CPD, professional review and personal development plan to show you know where you are and where you're going in terms of learning and progressing in your career.

Apart from that, use the e-Portfolio to document your standards. that's what you signed up for. Get your mentor involved and let your Head teacher know. He will most certainly be impressed with your proactive attitude to personal progress. it will also show you take your career seriously.
